Deer Tracking

When / if SHTF and you have to fend for yourself, are you confident that you can be a hunter to put meat on the table? The first skill you should work on is tracking. (Assuming you already know how to shoot.) One of the biggest game in the US is deer. Either Mule or White Tail. I have included a chart that shows what deer tracks look like and the size will tell you how big your potential prey may be. Look for tracks in your hunting area after it rains, or need water. Start your hunt before daylight by getting set up around the trails that you have discovered (from the chart). Be patient, move slow, and lead your target if moving. Two deer’s per year would feed my family if butchered and preserved properly.
