Medicinal Sassafras

As you know, I like to share any natural plants that have medicinal purposes. When it all falls down, the local pharmacy will be the first thing looted. Tips like this just may save you (or a loved one). Sassafras tea is made from the root bark. An Infusion is used to treat gastrointestinal complaints, colds, liver and kidney ailments, rheumatism, and skin eruptions. The oil from the root bark is used as an antiseptic and anodyne in dentistry. A sassafras tree repels mosquitoes and other insects. Which is good to know, post SHTF.
